Independent Leadership

Under the Policy-Centric Voting system, we propose altering the visible leadership of the country a two-tiered system: (1) a Chairperson to oversee elected Statespeople and (2) a public/international voice—a Spokesperson for the People—imbued with the ability to comprehensively engage in national and international discussions.

Their roles would  be strictly advisory/leadership, with decisions being made collectively by the People through their elected Statespeople.

These roles would be voted on at Election time under the First Past the Post system wherein the candidate with the most votes will be the winner.

Candidates for the Chairperson and Spokesperson roles will be independent from any party.  They will have an area available via the voting app/website where they can market their expertise to be voted on.  These candidates will not need to promote themselves via social media/media/billboards, etc as this will not be required if the People have access to relevant information on the candidate.  They will have a forum available to them wherein they are able to answer questions posed by the People (which will be freely available to the People to scrutinize at their leisure prior to election).  All information will be locked and freely available after election.
