Council Representatives

Local Council Representatives

We propose the elimination of electorate MPs in favour of a more localized approach, wherein local Council representatives (a Councillor for instance) serve as advocates for their communities at the national level. This would enhance communication between government and councils, ensuring that regional concerns are adequately represented. The representatives from Councils will give voice and perspective to localised issues.

We already vote and pay for Councillors and there are far more Councillors than Electorate MPs, so why not utilise them more effectively?
