"The truth reveals itself when
you look within your heart."
As a counsellor, I am trained to work with individuals, couples and families who are struggling with various aspects of their lives. I believe that the more self-aware and self-compassionate we become the more able we are to make good decisions for ourselves and our lives. I believe in the importance of nurturing healthy relationships with ourselves, others and the world around us. I have completed a post-graduate Diploma in Narrative Therapy and a Masters in Counselling. I have trained in solution Focused Therapy, CBT and Mindfulness, Somatic Experiencing and Psychosynthesis. More recently I trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. I am a yoga and HypnoBirthing Practitioner and I am interested in the interconnectedness of mind, body and soul. My approach to counselling is client-centred, holistic and strengths-oriented, with a focus on empowering for clients.
I provide a safe place for people to come and be heard and to explore pathways to healthier and happier living. Together we will explore what brings you to counselling, whether it be mental health concerns such as depression or anxiety, post-natal grief or parenting challenges, relationship troubles, addictions, trauma or if you are just wanting to explore possible pathways in life, in work, in your relationships, in the world. Often we have told ourselves stories about our lives for so long that we no longer know the truth of who we are and where we are going. I am interested in people knowing and understanding their potential.
Special interest areas for me are post-natal counselling (working with women and couples after the birth of a child.) and working with men, women and children experiencing depression, anxiety, and/or complex trauma. I am also interested in working with people who desire more meaning and purpose in their lives.
I offer counselling in my studio in South Brighton. My hourly rate is based on a koha scale system and ranges from $60-$120. Please call me to discuss your needs.
